Students who recently sat their GCSE exams have cause to celebrate as they collected their results.

In the seaside town of Cromer, it has been another year of success, with 69% of students achieving grades 9-4 in English and maths – 52% were grades 9-5*.

Cromer Academy, recognised by the Department for Education for having a culture which optimises behaviour, once again shows how focusing on a mission to create a positive learning environment pays off dividends when it comes to educational attainment.

John Vincent, Principal said:

“Congratulations to our Year 11s, not only for your academic achievement, but also for setting such an excellent example for our younger students. Your commitment to learning and determination to make a positive contribution to the culture of the whole school community makes us very proud.”

Malakai Appel was one of Cromer Academy’s top-performing students and achieved seven grade 9s and two grade 7s!

Malakai said:

“I am delighted with my results!  I can now study A Levels in Maths, Chemistry and Physics at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form”.

Nadia Gillies, Year 11 student said:
